Race Tapes

For Race Tapes, a wild MTB series produced by Boombox for Red Bull, we brought a dose of chaos with funky motion design and YouTube-style VFX. Using a mix of C4D, After Effects, and new AI tools, we dialed up the energy, embraced imperfection, and leaned into comedic storytelling.

Lo-fi effects, high-impact storytelling.

Lo-fi effects, high-impact storytelling.

Race Tapes wasn’t built to look safe—and that’s exactly why we loved it. Produced by Boombox for Red Bull, this series needed visual energy that matched the raw, unscripted nature of mountain biking and its culture.

We jumped in to create playful, stylized motion design and comedic VFX scenes, pulling from a palette inspired by YouTube edits and internet culture. Using Cinema 4D, After Effects, and emerging AI tools, we embraced experimentation over polish to keep the pace quick, weird, and unforgettable.

This wasn’t about clean lines or perfect frames—it was about using design as a punchline, supporting the edit with visuals that make the storytelling hit harder.
